Picture Details
This is a close up photo of the small lochan situated at the side of the Jubilee Path leading up to the Fyrish Monument, in Ross-Shire, Scotland. The picture was taken in mid-January just as the sun was rising over the Black Isle. Just in front of the Black Isle is the Cromarty Firth. It was a cold frosty day.
This is one of 4 pictures I took that morning - there's another photo of the lochan, Fyrish in Shadow, and Sunrise at Fyrish. I didn't really expect to take any pictures that morning - when I set off it was a pretty unspectacular day. One of the best things about Scotland - you NEVER know what the weather will give you!
