Picture Details
This photo was taken in June (don't be fooled by the darkness - that's because it was taken in the wee hours). We were waiting for the Queen Mary 2 to come into Invergordon Harbour, but I got the time wrong! Still, we sat through a rain storm, and these are the storm clouds starting to clear over Nigg Souter on the Cromarty Firth.
I particularly like the pale bown hues surrounding the rays of the sun.
The Queen Mary 2 photos, and the photos of the Oil Rigs at Invergordon were also taken on the same day. Have a look at them, it will give you some idea of how quickly weather conditions can change in Scotland!
